COVID-19 - UPDATEUpdatedMonday July 26, 2021 byOMBHL.
We hope all families and friends are staying safe and healthy.
The league has been monitoring the developments of the Coronavirus Covid-19.
The safety and health of all the participants, staff, families and friends are the highest priority at this time and the league has been following the guidance of Public Health authorities.
Further to the announcement of schools remaining closed until beginning of May to slow the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19, the season opening has been postponed.
Currently the Town of Oakville public facilities are closed. In the interim, the league will continue to monitor and assess the situation, with the guidance of Public Health authorities and our Sport’s Governing authorities. We’ll keep you up to date of any further changes. Updates are also posted on the league website at www.oakvilleminorballhockey.com
The League will be monitoring on a regular basis to keep pace with the evolving situation. If public health authorities determine that it is safe to return to public facilities, the league will update the membership to complete preparations for the upcoming season. The league will provide updates and will follow the Local Public Health Organization’s recommendations.
The many closures of public gathering places and events has the potential to slow the spread of the virus and prevent the outbreak from reaching the level already seen in some other parts of the world. The league is fully supportive of all measures to keep our community safe and healthy.
The Oakville Minor Ball Hockey League hopes that all participants, staff and their families and friends remain healthy and safe during this difficult time.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and support.
